CABO SAN LUCAS WEDDING AT ESPERANZA
Cabo San Lucas Destination Wedding at Esperanza Resort | Lori & Alex
As a destination wedding photographer, getting to step away from my usual weddings in New York City and Los Angeles to photograph a wedding in Cabo San Lucas always feels like such a reset creatively. Cabo has quickly become one of my favorite places to photograph weddings in Mexico — the ocean views, the warm air, the incredible food, the architecture, and honestly just the energy of the entire place.
Lori and Alex hosted their wedding weekend at Esperanza Resort Cabo San Lucas, one of the most beautiful luxury resorts in Cabo for a destination wedding. Their welcome party was at the iconic Edith’s Restaurant Cabo San Lucas, where guests spent the night drinking margaritas, eating incredible fresh seafood and authentic Mexican food, and settling into wedding weekend mode immediately.
The wedding day itself was so much fun from start to finish. During the ceremony, servers walked down the aisles handing guests mini margaritas while whales breached out in the ocean behind them — very hard to beat as far as ceremony views go. Cabo weddings just have a different kind of energy to them.
The reception overlooked the water with a glowing light-up dance floor, mariachi during cocktail hour, tequila flowing all night long, and one of those dance floors where every single person was absolutely committed by the end of the night. Honestly, the kind of reception energy that completely makes my life as a wedding photographer.
The next day everyone relaxed at the pool party, drank cocktails, recovered slowly, and got to actually enjoy being together after the chaos of the wedding day. One of my favorite things about destination weddings is that they feel less like a single event and more like a full experience with all of your favorite people.
If you’re planning a wedding in Mexico and looking for a Cabo destination wedding photographer or destination wedding photographer for your wedding weekend, I would absolutely love to document it.
